Spondylosis or Spine degeneration
Spondylosis is a degenerative, noninflammatory problem of the spinal column. Problems occur to aging, or injury sometimes genetic hereditary especially in large breed dogs. Spondylosis can be anywhere on the spine but mostly occurs on the back side of the body near the hips. Most common signs are usually seen only late. Treatment is usually not needed or not possible.
Just to know: I dont know too much yet of this diease as it seen very rarely in Landseer and yet I never heard about it in YL or LR, with time I will learn more about it. Some Landseer had this over the years abroad according to my knowledge, a younger male was put to asleep too. YL and LR never had it yet.
